Hemangi P. Shukla, DO

Hemangi Shukla, MD graduated with a bachelor’s in Biology from New York University. Subsequently, from New York Medical College, she earned a master’s of science and wrote a literature review on the Biology of Antiestrogen Therapy in Breast Cancer. Dr. Shukla went on to earn her medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Westchester Medical Center, after which she served as faculty attending at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens, NY for nearly five years. While at Jamaica, she participated in programs, such as Centering Healthcare in Pregnancy, designed to improve the quality of prenatal care and pregnancy outcomes. In addition to faculty attending, her roles included Clerkship Director for the Ob/Gyn medical student clerkship and Founder and Director of the Drills and Simulations Program for the department of Ob/Gyn. Dr. Shukla’s interests include all facets of general obstetrics and gynecology, with a focus on preventive care and patient education and empowering patients to take a stronger role in their own care. She also enjoys academic involvement in resident and medical student education, serving as the Associate Director of Ob/Gyn Clerkship at CUIMC.
