Columbia University has developed a point-of-care test to diagnose SARS-CoV-2.

We have developed a point-of-care test to diagnose SARS-CoV-2 from nasopharyngeal swabs in <45 minutes.  The methods works directly off of the transport media and does not require an RNA extraction step, a thermocycler, or proprietary cartidges and devices. The only hardware needed is a simple heat block.

To help share the information about this technique, we are providing a step-by-step guide, including translations. Learn more, or see below for instructions.
