Jorge Mejias Ramos, MD
Overview
Dr. Jorge Mejias Ramos, MD is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Dr. Mejias Ramos was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He received his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. He completed his specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Center. During residency, he was recognized with awards for Best Teaching Resident and for Research in Gynecology. He was also honored for Excellence in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery by his program and the American Urogynecological Society.
His interests include reducing health disparities, providing care for the LGBTQ+ community, and educating patients in sexual health and prevention. During his free time, he enjoys cooking, going on road trips, traveling, and spending time with his Corgi, Emma.
