Overview
Stephanie M Nuñez, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Clinician at the Women’s Mental Health program in the Ob/Gyn department at Columbia University Medical Center. She provides psychotherapy through an integrative, trauma-informed, and multicultural lens. Grounded in psychodynamic and attachment theories, she also draws from CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based approaches to tailor therapy to each patient’s needs.
Dr. Nuñez works with patients across the lifespan, navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, fertility concerns and other women’s mental health issues, while helping patients uncover deep-rooted patterns and build coping skills. In addition to her clinical work, she collaborates with Dr. Catherine Monk’s Perinatal Pathways Lab.
